I think tumblr songwriting needs to start back up again. I don’t know what happened there, anyone interested in keeping this alive at all?

This Week.
Write a song using these chords (not necessarily in this progression): E, A, D, and B. Use these elements in the lyrics: a camera, cigarettes, and an allusion to a book. If you don’t play an instrument, then just try to write the lyrics, but if you don’t usually write lyrics try anyway, we don’t care if its terrible.
so this is my entry for the tumblrsongwriting contest.
i scrapped the middle eastern tuning idea, i’ll use that when i have more practice/experience with that style,
so this is just me with guitar and tablas, starts off in 9/4, then 14/4 then 9/4, then 14/4 with a second guitar playing in 7/4
nothing special, pretty rushed, cus i was scared of running out of time haha

This Week’s Assignment:
Write a song using an multiple time signatures. Use any combination of 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, or 11/8. Make up one, for all i care just don’t use only 4/4 and 2/4. If your a lyricist and don’t play any instruments, write about “time” as an object or a person, not as a measurement. If you play and write, do both, or choose one. Post them by Saturday, and do it.

There will be no rules as to what you can use to make your song, or who you write the song with. If you are in a band as a group you want to submit, you can!
